Job Description

The job exists to oversee profitable day- to-day running of the workshop and ensuring resources are deployed in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Ensuring that clients' vehicles and equipment are repaired or serviced up to the client's specifications.
2. Ensuring quick turnaround of clients' vehicles and equipment in the workshop.
3. Ensuring compliance of workshop activities with safety standards and regulations
4. Setting up systems for monitoring and controlling the quality of service delivery.
5. Setting up and maintaining systems and procedures to enure smooth operation of the workshop.
6. Compiling of periodic reports.
7. Managing subordinates' performance
8. Carrying out business development initiatives for the workshop.

Qualifications and Experience

1. At least a degree in Transport and Logistics or any related field.
2. A Journeyman Class 1 qualification in Motor Mechanics/ Automobile Electrics/ Diesel Plant Fitting.
3. Apprenticeship training is an added advantage.
4. At least 3 years working experience as a Workshop Manager with hands on experience.
5. Clean class 2 drivers licence.
7. Excellent problem solving and planning skills.
