Job Description

1 X WAREHOUSE AND STORES CONTROLLER

We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic individual to fill the above position.

Reporting to the Head-Procurement Management Unit, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving and despatching stock, keeping records of stock movement and coordinating regular stock audits.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent’s key responsibilities shall include but not limited to: -
• Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out of stock.
• Entering purchase details (vendors information, invoices, and pricing) into internal databases.
• Raising requisitions to replenish merchandise as needed.
• Supervising storage of products
• Coordinating regular inventory audits.
• Liaising with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions.
• Keeping updated inventory records (including daily shipments).
• Supervising physical stock movements (receipts, goods issue, stock transfers and returns).
• Carrying out daily quality checks on data capture through the ERP system-Sage Pastel-for all stock inventory movements (issues, receipts, transfers and returns).
• Carrying out periodic stock counts while following set count procedures and reviews at key storage sites in for key stock items issued to each site.
• Continually assessing warehouse layout and stacking practices to maintain a safe and efficient warehouse.
• Checking purchase requisitions against stock on hand and for correct and complete requirements.
• Requesting for quotes, prepare price comparisons for approval and reconciling purchase requisitions and communicate procurement progress to user department regularly.
• Daily tracking of goods received vs payments.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Proven work experience in Inventory Management for 2years and above.
Attributes
• Excellent computer skills.
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
• Working knowledge of inventory management software.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Good communication and negotiating abilities.
