Maranatha Christian Schools are looking for well-qualified and experienced candidate to fill the vacant position of Junior/Primary School VPA Teacher that has risen for the purpose of value addition. Maranatha Christian Group of Schools are Registered Cambridge and ZIMSEC centers with Junior and High Boarding Schools in Harare and Kadoma.

The Assistant Music teacher shall assist in the instruction and reinforcement of musical concepts and instrumentation for students in choral performance and instrumental music. S/he shall also perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for instructional personnel; carry out related work as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

 Holder of a primary teacher education qualification which majors in Music.
 Have a minimum teaching experience of 3 years at primary school level.
 Exposure at former group A/private schools is an added advantage.
 Not more than 40 years old and must be computer literate.
 Christian based background.
 Knowledge of basic Music Education and appreciation practices and procedures.
 Knowledge of various instruments used in a band or string ensemble.
 Knowledge of basic music notation.
 Ability to prepare Music classes for internal and external examinations.
 Have a clear understanding of CALA techniques and applications at primary school level.
 Ability to exhibit patience when working with students who don't immediately understand the concepts being presented.
 Be mature, creative and engage at all levels.
 Compassion and respect for all students.
 Good communication skills since the teacher must interact with parents, administrators, and other teachers on a daily basis.
