TOWN PLANNER (1)
Applications are invited from self motivated, hardworking and result oriented candidates to fill in the above vacancy that have arisen immediately. We are a survey company based in Harare .
The incumbent will be expected to perform various Spartial Planning duties duties in the Technical Services department immediately .
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties
• Carrying out feasibility studies and research for new land development projects and planning proposals.
• Designing and Preparation of layout plans for housing, commercial and industrial development projects using appropriate software such as. Autocad, Arckicad .
• Reviewing and amendment of appropriate development layout plans as appropriate development.
• Preparing of planning and project feasibility reports .
• Carrying out data searches for running and new project proposals.
• Preparation , submission and processing of planning applications to relevant Local Authorities such as the department of Spatial Planning and Development in the Ministry of Local Government , Cities and Municipalities .
• Preparation of change of land use plans, budgets and stand schedules for company projects
• Ensure filing of spatial and geo information records such as layout plans and stand databases in both hard and soft copy.
• Carrying out subdivisions, consolidations and processing.
• Following up on Town Planning applications with the local authorities, to obtain the required permits.
• Carrying out Site Inspections.
• Giving support advisory services to engineers, surveyors and other regulatory bodies on company projects.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
• A Bsc Honours degree in Regional and Urban Planning or Spatial Planning and Management.
• Hardworking, disciplined team player
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good industrial experience of at least two years in a similar role.
