Background and introduction
A public interest Organization which seeks to promote environmental justice, sustainable and equitable use of natural resources is seeking the services of a social influencer to promote tax justice in the sector.
Zimbabwe joined the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining and Metals (IGF) in 2023 and is poised to benefit through a mining taxation reform exercise targeted at positioning mineral resources as the anchor for sustainable economic development. It is, therefore, important for mining affected communities to be able to share their experiences and demand for distributive justice through development of a mining tax regime that supports service delivery and plugs leakages. Thus, the need for a social media influencer to play a vital role in amplifying the voices of mining-affected communities. Against this background the organization seeks to appoint a Tax Justice Ambassador to drive positive change and promote tax justice in Zimbabwe.
