Job Description

OVERVIEW
Students And Youth Working on Reproductive Health Action Team (SAYWHAT) in partnership with Stop TB Partnership Zimbabwe is implementing the Young people Organized for Universal access to Tuberculosis and HIV Services (YOUTHS)
Phase II, a project dedicated to ending tuberculosis (TB) as a public health threat by 2030. YOUTHS aims to reduce TB related mortality and morbidity amongst young people (10-24) in Zimbabwe in particular young sex workers, young People Living with HIV, and young people survivors of sexual violence who are more prone to HIV acquisition hence exposed to TB co-infection. To achieve this goal SAYWHAT empowers young people to meaningfully engage in district, provincial, national, and regional mechanisms that review and coordinate TB responses.
OBJECTIVES OF THE YOUTHS PROJECT
• To coordinate the effective participation of diverse groups of young people at district, provincial and national level HIV and TB review and coordination mechanisms.
• To expand the involvement of young people in community led monitoring on young people's access HIV and TB services.
• To increase/advocate for government accountability to diverse groups of young people on the delivery of integrated HIV and TB services at health center facility level.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
• To develop a TB Rights and Literacy Manual.
• Sensitize key stakeholders on the TB Rights and Literacy Manual.

SCOPE OF ASSIGNMENT
The consultant is expected to partner with SAYWHAT in developing a youth focused rights-based literacy manual for patients in Zimbabwe. Post development of the manual the consultant will coordinate sensitization meeting in the 10 provinces in Zimbabwe.

Qualifications and Experience

REQUIRED EXPERTISE
• Demonstrated expertise in developing health education materials, particularly on topics related to TB, patient rights, and treatment literacy.
• Experience in facilitating interactive workshops and trainings with diverse stakeholders, including patients and youth.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into user-friendly formats.
• Familiarity with the local context and TB landscape in Zimbabwe.

EVALUATION OF PROPOSALS
All interested Consultants are required to submit a Technical and Financial proposal separately via email.
The technical proposal should be no more than 10 pages, and will
be assessed on the following:
• Approach to the assignment that demonstrates the extent to which the Consultant
understands the requirements as set out in TOR
• Feasible and technically sound methodology, appropriate for fulfilling the overall
purpose of the development of the rights and literacy manual
• Realistic work plan with specific treatment of key deliverables and priorities
• Expertise and experience of the Firm/Entity; expertise, experience, and
qualifications of the Team leader
The financial proposal should be no more than 3 pages and should detail the following.
• An appropriate Price Schedule that includes, as a minimum, the consultancy rate
per day, and the number of workdays per main activity to assist the Contracting Department to determine, which items may be negotiated, if applicable, or which items can be modified as per the budget. All prices shall be quoted in US dollars.
MANAGEMENT
• The Consultant will report to Head of Programs,
• The Consultant will be responsible for their own overheads and logistical
requirements such as office space, administrative and secretarial support,
telecommunications, and printing,
• All deliverables will be prepared in English.
