To deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Biology and Chemistry at O-Level and A-Level, in line with ZIMSEC/CAMBRIDGE syllabus. The teacher will inspire students, promote scientific inquiry, and ensure excellent academic results and practical competence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Biology and Chemistry lessons for Forms 1-6.
Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching resources in line with the curriculum.
Conduct practical laboratory experiments and ensure safety standards are maintained.
Assessment & Evaluation
Set, mark and moderate tests, assignments, and examinations.
Track student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
Prepare students for ZIMSEC/CAMBRIDGE final examinations.
Student Development
Mentor students in science clubs, science fairs, and competitions.
Promote a culture of discipline, curiosity and critical thinking.
Administration
Maintain accurate class registers, grades, and student records.
Manage laboratory equipment, chemicals and consumables.
Ensure safe storage and usage.
Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and school events.
Qualifications and Experience
Any Relevant Science Degree from a reputable institution
A diploma in Education
A maximum of years teaching experience
