Job Description

Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems and Network Administrator to join our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, routine maintenance, security monitoring, and backup procedures, ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Install and configure network hardware and software: Ensure the network is optimized for performance and reliability. This includes setting up routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Perform routine maintenance on network systems and servers: Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain optimal performance.
• Monitor security systems and implement necessary updates and patches: Safeguard our infrastructure from potential threats, including configuring and managing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus solutions.
• Conduct regular backup procedures to ensure data integrity and recovery: Implement and manage backup solutions, ensuring data is securely stored and easily recoverable.
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely solutions: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, providing technical support and guidance to staff.
• Manage and support CCTV and GPS tracking systems: Oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of surveillance and tracking systems.
• Maintain and manage cloud infrastructure: Oversee the deployment, management, and operation of cloud services, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
• Develop and maintain network documentation: Create and update network diagrams, procedures, and policies.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and implementation: Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi access points
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices and protocols.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and backup solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
1-2 years experience in a similar position.
