Students on Attachment (Bar Day Managers)

Job Description

We are seeking to recruit Attachment Students to facilitate the management of our Bars.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting in:
- Supervising and leading the day staff, ensuring they deliver outstanding service and adhere to all operational procedures.
- Preparing the night shift team for success by ensuring they have all the necessary resources and supplies required for a seamless transition.
- Maintaining stock levels by efficiently balancing inventory and placing orders as needed.
- Handling petty cashbook accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper record-keeping.
- Receiving and inspect stock deliveries, verifying accuracy and quality.
- Handling customer complaints promptly and professionally, aiming to find quick and effective resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prioritizing the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment, promptly attending to repairs or replacements as required.
- Maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar area and restrooms throughout the day, ensuring a pleasant environment for customers.
- Supervising workmen, contractors, and cleaning staff to ensure tasks are completed to the highest standard.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideal candidates will be students studying a Degree or Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality or Business Management, who have a demonstrated capacity to learn and adapt to change, are hard-working and diligent, and have a natural inclination towards performance. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), and basic computer literacy are also a must-have. Candidates MUST be resident in Harare and Bulawayo.
