Sales Supervisor

Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to drive the sales and marketing of all produce from a farm in Mutare. Produce
includes vegetables and animal products. The resource must have the ability to understand market dynamics and
seasonality of the different lines and work with the production teams to plan accordingly to maximize profitability
for the company according to its financial objectives. The resource must also be effective at marketing to help
create and build the brand of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Is responsible for meeting the sales targets of the business for all produce via effective planning and
execution. This includes understanding harvest of all produce and planning sales accordingly for the
different customer segments.
 Sets the targets for the daily and weekly target for the sales team and other sales representatives
ensuring that the targets are realistic and achievable.
 Maps out potential customers and generates new leads and always looks forward to generating new
opportunities for the organization.
 Is responsible for brand promotion by popularizing farm products amongst the consumers by using a
range of strategic advertising technologies (fixed, mobile, digital etc).
 Produces periodic performance reports including trend analysis.
 Maintains necessary database of customers and records for future reference.
 Manages credit customers ensuring they respect the terms they agree to.
 Attends meetings with Director and prepares reports for decision making
 Recommends prices and spends time in the market understanding dynamics.
 Takes responsibility for quality of product sold and ensures customer satisfaction remains high.

Qualifications and Experience

 At least 2 - 3 years of traceable experience in a similar role
 Proven work experience as a Sales Specialist or similar role
 Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
 A Diploma in Marketing or equivalent
 Ability to work with minimal supervision and take accountability for delivery of sales objectives.

 Sales experience and knowledge of agriculture sector is an added advantagE
 Should be based in Mutare
