ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative shall have a clear understanding of aluminum products and the ability to demonstrate how they work and suit into clients’ needs and conceptual frameworks. In addition, the Sales Representative shall be responsible for new market development, identifying, targeting, driving and increasing sales with new clientele.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Developing strong relationships with each customer, and be part of forward planning for each customers production.
• Managing and developing sales leads and customer relationships in view of opening new branches.
• Marketing and developing sales for every product to each customer, targeting every department.
• Driving sales with each customer to meet the monthly and quarterly sales targets and tonnage.
• Researching potential new customers in the market.
• Introducing and educating customers fully on range of products on offer, as well as all new products introduced working with Research and Development Department
• Identifying any products on demand in the market that can be developed and form part of our range
• Carrying out periodic competitor analysis and report to the National Sales Manager on competition activity, products, pricing and strategy
• Monitoring market trends to stay up to date with changes and needs to penetrate market
• Processing all orders from quotation to Sales invoice, and follow up with an after sales call to ensure customer satisfaction
• Informing customer if product is out of stock and offer an alternative or a timeframe of when new stock will be produced
• Following up on orders collected at the close of each day
• Communicating effectively with the client should their delivery be delayed for any reason to protect the reputation and reliability of the company as a first-class service provider
• Investigating any invoice issues and if need be, recommend a credit note, following the set Credit Note Procedure, to the National Sales Manager and Finance department.
• Attending weekly Sales Meetings to discuss schedule of customer visits and follow ups
• Completing Sales Feedback Report weekly and submit to National Sales Manager
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
• A Degree/Diploma in Sales or Marketing or equivalent.
• Proven work experience in Construction and Engineering is a must.
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
• A clean Class 4 drivers’ license is a must.
• Exceptional skills in selling products and closing deals.
• Knowledge of sales promotion techniques and ability to identify and follow up on leads.
• Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
