Background:
Zim-TTECH is seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Results-Based Management Intern for the DREAMS program. The candidate will be based in Bulawayo. Zim-TTECH's activities occur primarily in the technical areas of health system strengthening; epidemiology and strategic information strengthening, health workforce development; operations research and evaluation; prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the GBV, Key Populations, and Child Protection Lead, the Results-Based Management (RBM) Intern will be responsible for the implementation of the Results-Based Management (RBM) within the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) Victim Friendly Unit (VFU under the DREAMS initiative.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design, manage, plan, and coordinate RBM program activities within the ZRP Victim Friendly Unit.
• Support the VFU in the adaptation and development of the RBM model.
• Lead the development of RBM-related work plans, budgets, and proposals.
• Develop and periodically update standard operating procedures and tools for RBM.
• Support and document trend analyses and findings from the RBM model and provide recommendations.
• Establish and strengthen strategic partnerships with key child protection stakeholders at district, provincial, and national levels.
• Support SAfAIDS to mann Ithemba Lethu safe shelters at the district level working with Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender, and Community Development.
• Attend district case conferencing and child protection committees.
• Conduct documentation of best practices and project briefs with support from Advocacy & Communications.
• Coordinate meetings and provide logistical support as necessary to stakeholders.
• Support the completion of key deliverables in the departmental work plan.
• Consolidate, review, and analyze reports.
• Performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Desired candidate must be undergoing studies in Social Sciences or any other related field.
• Experience within the Zimbabwe Republic Police is a pre-requisite.
• Should have demonstrable experience in implementing Results-Based Management and in gender-based violence and child protection programs.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to lead coordination efforts, work independently and take initiatives.
• Should be willing to travel and have some overnight stay in Matabeleland North districts as and when necessary.
