Job Description

The Feed the Future Zimbabwe Fostering Agribusiness for Resilient Markets (FARM) Activity is a USAID funded program implemented by Chemonics International in Zimbabwe. The overall goal of the activity is to provide inclusive economic opportunities to smallholder farmers and other actors along viable agricultural value chains by sustainably increasing their production, productivity, and incomes, thereby enhancing their food security, nutrition, hygiene, resilience, and poverty reduction. As part of project activities, the FARM Activity requires:

1. Stainless steel Milk tanks (RFQ#073)
2. Solar Systems and Generators (RFQ#074)

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Stainless steel Milk tanks (RFQ#073)
Supply and installation of 3 x 500-liter Stainless steel bulk milk cooling tanks.

2. Solar Systems and Generators (RFQ#074)
3 sets of (Complete 5KVA Solar power system- 1 x Hybrid inverter; 8 x 410W panels, 2 x 100Ah
lithium-ion batteries, all mounting struts and switchgear)
3* 5 KVA Backup generator- Diesel

Qualifications and Experience

To assist offerors in preparation of proposals, the following checklist summarizes the documentation to include an offer in response to this RFQ:

□ Cover letter, signed by an authorized representative of the offeror (see Section 4 for template)

□ Official quotation, including specifications of offered equipment (see Section 3 for example
format)

□ Valid 2024 Tax Clearance Certificate (Zimbabwean companies)

□ VAT Registration Certificate (Zimbabwean companies)

□ Three (3) past performance references for the delivery of services similar to the type contemplated in this solicitation, including a description of the services provided and contact information with telephone and email address. The past performance references must include contact information with telephone numbers and email addresses, see template under Annex 1

□ Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) Subaward Reporting Questionnaire, signed by an authorized representative of the offeror (see Section 5 for questionnaire)

□ Copy of offeror’s registration or business license (see Section 1.5 for more details)

How to Apply

1. Questions: Questions regarding the technical or administrative requirements of this RFQ may be submitted in writing no later than 12 noon on April 8, 2024 by email to Lovemore Mateuso,([email protected]) and Cc to [email protected]; phone calls will not be accepted.Questions and requests for clarification—and the responses thereto—that Chemonics believes may be of interest to other offerors will be circulated to all RFQ recipients who have indicated an interest in bidding. No hard copy deliveries are required.

Only the written answers issued by Chemonics will be considered official and carry weight in the RFQ process and subsequent evaluation. Any verbal information received from employees of Chemonics, or any other entity should not be considered as an official response to any questions regarding this RFQ.

2.Offer Deadline and Protocol: Offers must be received no later than 12:00 noon on 16 April 2024 by email to Lovemore Mateuso, ([email protected]) and Cc to [email protected]. No hard copy deliveries are required.
Please reference the RFQ number in any response to this RFQ. Offers received after the specified time and date will be considered only at the discretion of Chemonics.
