VACANCY: QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Location: Harare
A leading shopfitting and interior fit-out company is looking for a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates and quotations.
- Measure quantities from drawings and on-site.
- Prepare tender documents and analyse quotations.
- Manage project costs, budgets and variations.
- Procure materials and liaise with suppliers.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, measure completed works and prepare valuations.
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Prepare project reports and final accounts.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in shopfitting, interior fit-out or construction.
- Strong knowledge of aluminium profiles, glass, ceilings, partitions, joinery and related finishing works will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings.
- Must be willing to work both in the office and on project sites.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Valid Class 4 driver's licence is an added advantage.
