Job Description

Tsungirirai Welfare Organization registered under the PVO Act based in Norton with operations in Chegutu and Zvimba. Tsungirirai is an organization that is into HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, care and support. It is located in Norton which is in Chegutu District in Zimbabwe. Tsungirirai operates in Chegutu and Zvimba. These posts are based in Norton, with routine travel in Chegutu district.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technical Support to DREAMS-Modified project:
• Support technical capacity building project community-based cadres, through trainings and workshops
• Mentor and guide the team in planning, implementation, documentation, and monitoring of the project.
• Build and maintain excellent working relationships with district stakeholders
• Monitoring and support to project sites
• Collect case studies and provide content demonstrating the impact of the project for donor reports and other publications.
• Participate in organisational quarterly meetings, programme review meetings and any other meetings as required
• Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Programs Manager

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development studies, Gender Studies or a related social science degree
• Minimum two years of working in a local NGO
• Experience in GBV programming and working with Adolescents Girls and Young Women, including prevention and response strategies.
Skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills, particularly in relation to facilitating trainings on; Highly organised, with excellent planning, prioritisation and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent report writing skills and an aptitude for designing projects and proposals; Competent in Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and with internet/email;
• Demonstrate a commitment to gender equality and an ability to influence and engage others to support gender issues;
• Capable of working efficiently under tight deadlines; Spoken and written fluency in English.
