We are seeking vibrant Procurement Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, the successful applicants will be responsible for the following key duties:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Implementing the procurement activities of the company.
• Coordinating and facilitating the procurement requirements of the company in line with the Procurement Policy Guidelines.
• Pre-qualifying suppliers as outlined in the procurement policy.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement procedures.
• Maintaining healthy relationships with suppliers.
• Liaising with authorities and providing logistical support in coordinating deliveries of supplies and obtaining customs clearance for imported goods.
• Preparing documentation and drafting correspondence for Duty and Tax Exemption Certificates, ensuring timely submissions to the Head of Procurement.
• Securing the adoption of appropriate procurement methods.
• Preparing Bidding Documents in compliance with provisions in or under the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets (PPDPA) Act [Chapter 22.23] and Regulations [Statutory Instrument 5 of 2018].
• Preparing bid notices and shortlists.
• Coordinating the bidding process, including pre-bidding meetings, clarifications, and the receipt and opening of bids.
• Supervising the company’s Evaluation Committee.
• Preparing evaluation reports, including contract award recommendations.
• Submitting evaluation reports promptly to the Head of the Procurement Management Unit.
• Drafting contract documents.
• Preparing procurement reports for the Head of the Procurement Management Unit.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
• Excellent in Computer applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of ERP system is an added advantage.
