MONITORING & EVALUATION ASSISTANT

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, the successful applicant will, among other key duties, be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting in the review and tracking of the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, including Land Development, Crop Production, and Revenue targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Conducting constant research on internal and external factors influencing the organisation’s Strategic Plan, and crafting recommendations for management.
• Designing data collection tools and executing data collection exercises for both primary and secondary data.
• Managing data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting processes.
• Reviewing operational reports and generating weekly, monthly, and annual reports that highlight progress and impact recommendations.
• Updating databases and maintaining accurate records.
• Facilitating training and mentoring for partners and staff to strengthen Monitoring and Evaluation systems.
• Continuously reviewing monitoring indicators to align with operational changes, ensuring thorough end-to-end monitoring of processes.
• Conducting periodic reviews of the monitoring and reporting mechanisms, including documenting best practices and lessons learnt.
• Coordinating and administering training sessions on Monitoring and Evaluation processes, tools, and database management system functionalities.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• 3 years proven experience in administering research tools, conducting baseline surveys, and designing data collection templates, along with strong report writing skills.

Attributes
• Proficient in Database Management and data analysis software, such as SPSS, Excel, and NVIVO.
• Ability to critically analyse data and draw insightful conclusions.
• Proficient in both verbal and written communication
• Resourceful in identifying challenges and developing practical solutions
