Job Description

We are seeking a talented Mining Engineer Graduate Trainee to join our team. In this role, the incumbent is expected to play a crucial part in the development, testing, and implementation of innovative mining implements, working closely with Senior engineers, designers, and field technicians to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop new mining implements.
• Help, analyses customer requirements and industry trends to identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Assist with conducting simulations and modelling to evaluate the performance of new designs.
• Assist in the prototyping and testing of new products.
• Participate in field trials and field days to evaluate product performance in real-world conditions.
• Collect and analyse data from field tests and field days to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding product usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with developing technical documentation, including user manuals and installation guides.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mining technology and industry trends.
• Conduct research into new materials, technologies, and design techniques.
• Explore opportunities for innovation and product diversification

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or related field.
• Understanding of mining operations, equipment, and challenges.
• Experience in product design, development, and testing.
• Proficiency in engineering software, such as CAD, FEA, and simulation tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently1 and as part of a team
