Reporting to the Mine manager, the Mine Supervisor shall be responsible for assisting the Mine Manger with overall supervision of open cast mining and drilling activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervising load and haul
- Supervising drilling operations
- Marking blast patterns
- Supervising blast charging
- Ensuring employee safety and adherence to safety procedures
- Driving the workforce to ensure improved productivity
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Mining or equivalent
- Valid Mine Blasting licence
- At least 5 years' experience in open cast mining 2 of which must be at Supervisory level
- Traceable experience in drilling at Supervisory level
- A valid First Aid Certificate
