We are seeking an ambitious, energetic, results oriented and purpose driven Mine Manager to join our mining company.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Management of all surface operations including the open pit, processing operations and the laboratory.
 Overseeing all operational aspects of the mine
 Operational planning and presentation to the Executive Committee.
 Overseeing inventory management and cost control.
 Manage and ensure proper people development at the mine.
 Ensure production targets are achieved within budget and timelines.
 Ensuring compliance to health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
 Identify potential business risks and ensure processes are established to manage
appropriately.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
 The candidate must have a Degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
 Managerial experience is a must.
 Ability to work under pressure.
 At least 5 years’ experience in a gold mining environment.
 Possession of a full blasting licence essential
 Experience in all aspects of the running of small to medium scale mining operations.
 Broad technical knowledge of open pit mining operations and processes.
 Knowledge of SHEQ management systems a distinct advantage.
