Local Rights Programme Graduate Intern (Climate Justice)-Rusape

Duties and Responsibilities

The position shall function collaboratively as a member of the Programs team and will be required to play a significant role in providing sponsorship, programmatic and administrative support in the Local Rights Programs. The intern will assist the Climate Justice thematic lead in program development, provide monitoring, evaluation and learning strategic oversight in climate justice programme. The position holder will assist with capacity building of communities in lobby, advocacy, and budget tracking on climate change, resilience and livelihoods.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements

The candidate should be studying towards a degree/a recent graduate with a degree in Climate Change and Sustainable Development, Environmental studies, Social sciences, Development studies, Rural Development agriculture or related discipline from a recognized institute.
Experience in networking and building relationships across different strata of society.
Commitment to Climate Justice, resilience and livelihoods.
Building collaborative relationships and achieving quality results and services.
Ability and preparedness to travel and work in difficult conditions and comfortable working with children.
Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines.
