We are looking for an experienced Senior Laboratory Supervisor (Grade B4) to join our Assay Laboratory Team. This position reports to the Laboratory Technician.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Carrying out Acid digestions
• Supervision of Assay processes, Hygiene and housekeeping
• Solution analysis and reporting.
• Assist in bullion assays where necessary.
• Preparing working standard solutions as assigned.
• Identify SHEQ aspects and hazards in his/her work area
• Develop and implement work area's procedures and/or work instructions to minimise SHEQ aspects and hazards.
• Implement work instructions and procedures and comply to ISO 17025
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
• National Certificate in Metallurgical Assaying
• 5 “O' Level passes including Mathematics, English and Science
Experience
• 2 years' experience in similar position
• Knowledge of AAS machines
• Knowledge of ISO 17025, 9001, 45001 and 15001
• Computer literacy
• Fire Assaying techniques
