Job Description

The Inventory Controller shall be responsible for managing all inventory control related activities.
1. Execute inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes stock holding and maximizes stock system and paperwork accuracy.
2. The role carries responsibility for working with purchasing, goods inwards and dispatch to ensure necessary functions are carried out correctly

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines.
2. Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock.
3. Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts.
4. Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records.
5. Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs.
6. Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment.
7. Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfilment.
8. Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions.
9. Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management.
10. Nurture positive relationships with suppliers and provide customer service as needed.
11. Provide management with information on inventory performance and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Degree in Business Administration.
2. Masters in Business Administration is an added advantage.
3. Certificate in Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, or related field.
4.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Inventory Management systems.
5.At least 3 years’ experience in inventory management.
