Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified
personnel to fill in the following post:
Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability, reliability, and
security.
Perform routine network maintenance and upgrades.
Provide first-line support for network connectivity issues.
Troubleshoot LAN, WLAN, and WAN problems promptly to minimize
downtime.
Assist staff and students with network-related technical issues.
Implement and enforce network security measures (antivirus, firewalls, VPN,
access controls).
Monitor for unauthorized access, network intrusions, and resolve
vulnerabilities.
Ensure compliance with institutional ICT policies and national data protection
laws.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
Prepare and submit network status and incident reports to ICT management.
Keep an updated inventory of network equipment.
Work with the ICT team to support new projects and technology rollouts.
Train end-users on basic connectivity and safe network usage practices.
Liaise with service providers for escalated support and infrastructure
improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
The candidate should possess the following key competencies
BSc in Computer Science or equivalent from recognized institutions.
Professional qualification in Networking.
Knowledge of Sophos XG firewall.
Applicant should have at least two years’ experience in the field of Networking
