Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the above position, which has arisen within Ground Up Investments Pvt Ltd Zimbabwe.
The Company
Ground Up Investments Group is the holding company for a range of subsidiaries involved in various industries ranging from the explosives manufacturing,commercial lighting/electrical retail, chemicals, transport, equipment hire, fuel retail and construction sectors within Zimbabwe and the region.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Profile
The Human Resources Officer will be reporting to the Group Human Resources Executive. The purpose of this position is to provide holistic HR support and solutions to the different companies including workforce planning, talent acquisition and management, performance management, leadership development, employee relations and employee well-being.
The various broad duties are, among other things:
Manpower Planning for the organisation including talent identification and acquisition.
HR Systems and Records Management
HR Policy Development and Compliance Management
Compensation and Benefits management including payroll processing.
Business Performance Management, Talent Management and Succession Planning.
Employee Learning and Talent management.
Management and leadership of the company disciplinary and grievance processes.
Industrial Relations Management across the board i.e. employees, workers committees, works council, trade unions, national employment councils and ministry of labour.
Employee Welfare management and administration (medical aid, funeral assurance).
Responsible for the overall cost control of the employment costs on the income statement together with respective HODS.

Qualifications and Experience

Person Profile
Astute growth-oriented individual with a good understanding of the overall business picture who has excellent skills in communication, and is analytical, well-structured, and organised.
A Bachelor's Degree/Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations.
Member of a recognized human resources professional body.
Minimum 2 years' post qualifying experience in private sector Human Resources management as a HR Generalist (in a - hybrid cross cultural environment).
Payroli processing experience preferably using Belina System. expenience in energy service environments an added advantage.
A clean class 4 driver's licence plus valid defensive driving licence.
