Job Description

The position requires a seasoned and systems driven HR professional to coordinate the HR function competently and efficiently through recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR professional serves as support to the organization's management team, providing guidance on HR-related matters in conjunction with the finance and legal department.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Implement HR strategies, systems, tactics, procedures and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy within the given cluster.
 Implement the development of HR department goals, objectives and systems.
 Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or related issues to include supporting employee opportunities for professional development.
 Effectively coordinate the staffing process including recruitment and selection process following SOP.
 Implement performance appraisal system that drives employee high performance within the given scope to support the succession planning methodology.
 Coordinate job analysis function to create and update job descriptions and specifications and then participate in job evaluation exercises.
 Responsible for the administration functions to include:
o Maintaining HR records/Policies, organizational charts and reports.
o Employee contracts of engagements and disengagements.
o Manpower Planning –Manpower Requisition; Budget/Labour costing.
o Payroll Input generation; Validation; ESC; Promotions; Salary input consolidation; Payroll/salary arrears queries.
o Leave Administration.
o Participating in administrative staff meetings.
o Interfacing with HRDirector, Industrial Relations, Line Management and Training.

Qualifications and Experience

 Degree in HR Management or relevant qualification.
 At least 2 years practical experience in a similar role.
 Demonstrable managerial and coordinative understanding and technical competencies to run the HR Administration and Operations functions.
 Should be knowledgeable in local employment legislation and regulations.
 A team player with proven leadership and coaching competences.
 Strong sense of responsibility and professional presentation.
 Attentive to detail and analytically driven with excellent problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking.
 Ability to prioritise/plan, organise and coordinate cluster work activities.
 Extremely good organizational/interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
 MS Office skills that include data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software.
