The Head of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Department is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide ERP systems. This individual will lead a team of ERP professionals and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and utilization of ERP technology to support business operations and strategic objectives.
1.ERP Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP strategy aligned with the organization's goals, objectives, and industry best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage ERP technology to support business process improvement, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
2.ERP System Implementation: Lead and manage full-scale ERP system implementation projects, including system selection, configuration, customization, data migration, integration, and testing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
3.ERP System Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the ERP systems. Ensure system performance, availability, and security by implementing appropriate controls, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes. Coordinate with IT teams to address technical issues and optimize system performance.
4.Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the ERP department staff, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and growth opportunities. Develop and maintain departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
5.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders, such as business unit leaders, finance, procurement, human resources, and IT departments, to understand their functional requirements, prioritize system enhancements, and deliver effective solutions. Proactively communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
6.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within ERP systems. Drive the adoption of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance system capabilities, user experience, and overall operational efficiency. Stay abreast of ERP trends, advancements, and regulatory changes.
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with ERP software vendors, consultants, and service providers. Evaluate new software releases, enhancements, and service offerings to ensure the ERP system remains current, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
1.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
2.Proven experience (4 to 5 years) in leading ERP system implementation and management, preferably in a similar role or industry.
3.Strong knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or NetSuite, and their modules (finance, supply chain, manufacturing, etc.).
4.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and objectives.
5.Sound understanding of business processes and their integration within ERP systems.
6.Project management expertise, with a track record of successfully delivering complex ERP implementation projects on time and within budget.
7.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to translate technical concepts into business terms.
