Job Summary
The Head of Business Development will report to the Principal Officer and play a crucial role in advancing Cimas Health Group's purpose to inspire healthier communities. This position focuses on growing and retaining membership through the development of comprehensive medical aid sales strategies, membership retention initiatives, and product development plans aligned with set targets.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Developing the Annual Business Development Plan for Cimas Medical Aid.
• Conducting research on local, regional, and international medical aid products.
• Contributing to the formulation of pricing policies for Cimas Medical Aid packages.
• Analysing market research to define effective sales and retention strategies.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, stakeholders, and prospects to drive sales.
• Establishing and updating sales targets.
• Evaluating the performance of new and existing products.
Qualifications
• First degree in Business Management, Sales and Marketing Management or equivalent.
• Post Graduate Degree in Marketing Strategy, Business Leadership or equivalent.
• At least 6-8 years' experience in Sales/ marketing/ business development experience in a similar or related environment.
• Membership of a professional body is an added advantage
Key Competencies
The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and strategic planning abilities, along with expertise in market analysis and relationship-building with clients and partners. A solid understanding of financial metrics and business performance indicators is essential.
