GRADUATE TRAINEE – SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
ABOUT SIMUKAI CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAMME
Simukai Child Protection Programme is a Zimbabwean registered PVO (27/12) (http://www.simukaicpp.org.zw) which was established to serve children in a holistic and inclusive manner based on the Eco-systemic child rights approach. The Organization empowers children, young people and communities to address various child-safeguarding issues, enhance their sustainable livelihoods, take anticipatory actions to natural and man-made hazards as well as sustainable environmental management. This is executed through through advocacy, partnerships, inclusive and innovative service delivery. Simukai seeks to recruit the following staff GRADUATE TRAINEE – SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT x 1.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the incumbent will embark on a comprehensive one-year training program designed to provide hands-on experience and knowledge across various aspects of the supply chain. The position is based in Mutare.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Assist in analyzing supply chain data, identifying trends, and making informed recommendations for process improvements.
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of products and materials.
 Support the implementation of supply chain strategies and initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
 Participate in supplier management activities, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
 Contribute to the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance.
 Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and propose innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
o Working towards attaining a Professional qualification such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) diploma or equivalent is an added advantage.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse
stakeholders.
o Proactive mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. o A minimum of one year experience in supply chain function
o Proficiency in MS Office applications
