ABOUT SIMUKAI CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAMME
Simukai Child Protection Programme is a Zimbabwean registered PVO (27/12) (http://www.simukaicpp.org.zw) which was established to serve children in a holistic and inclusive manner based on the Eco-systemic child rights approach. The Organization empowers children, young people and communities to address various child-safeguarding issues, enhance their sustainable livelihoods, take anticipatory actions to natural and man-made hazards as well as sustainable environmental management. This is executed through through advocacy, partnerships, inclusive and innovative service delivery. Simukai seeks to recruit the following staff GRADUATE TRAINEE – SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT x 1.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the incumbent will embark on a comprehensive one-year training program designed to provide hands-on experience and knowledge across various aspects of the supply chain. The position is based in Mutare.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in analyzing supply chain data, identifying trends, and making informed recommendations for process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery of products and materials.
Support the implementation of supply chain strategies and initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Participate in supplier management activities, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in supply chain management and propose innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
o Working towards attaining a Professional qualification such as the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) diploma or equivalent is an added advantage.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse
stakeholders.
o Proactive mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. o A minimum of one year experience in supply chain function
o Proficiency in MS Office applications
