GENERAL MANAGER – RISK, STRATEGY, MONITORING & EVALUATION

We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic individual to fill the above position. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful applicant will, among other key duties, be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Formulating and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Strategic Plan.
• Implementing and monitoring effective risk management practices and ensuring operating policies and procedures are complied with throughout the organization.
• Designing control systems to deal with violations of compliance rules and internal policies.
• Developing and implementing compliance strategies, frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Supervising the process of developing risk policies and procedures, risk limits, and establishing an effective trigger system for breach.
• Preparing annual targets, deadlines, and schedules to improve governance, risk and control processes.
• Revising and updating policies and procedures.
• Developing and implementing the Risk Management Framework for the organization.
• Tracking expenses against budget and highlighting deviations, if any.
• Developing recommendations for improvement and facilitating mitigation of gaps.
• Updating risk registers for all the departments and documenting business continuity measures.
• Preparing risk evaluation which involves comparing estimated risk with criteria established by the organization
• Conducting risk reviews on new products before launch.
• Establishing measures that ensure the business complies with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations, standards of best practice, internal policies, processes, and procedures
• Liaising with the Legal Department on contract negotiations, reviews and finalization
• Preparing and monitoring risk management budget
• Leading the strategic planning process
• Designing and overseeing research projects, including guidelines, protocols and analysis plans
• Coordinating and evaluating the research process to ensure timely and quality outcomes

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management or equivalent.
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
• At least 5 years work experience in Enterprise Risk Management/Data Analytics/ Reporting/ Strategy/Monitoring and Evaluation.
