Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the Financial Accountant position that has arisen at the Cotton Company of Zimbabwe.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepares the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet reports
• Tax reporting and inventory processing
• Collects and analyses data, which is then used in the preparation of weekly and monthly estimates
• Advises on estimates for project funding
• Controls expenditure and cash flow
• Prepares quarterly and annual statutory financials
• Responds to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
• Supervises external and internal audit processes
• Examines financial records to checks for accuracy
• Consolidation of budgets for both Head Office departments and Business Units
• Checks creditors payments and submit them for authorization
• Tax issues handling including submission of monthly, quarterly tax returns to ZIMRA
• Supervision of finance creditors and debtors clerks, Head Office accounting and assistant accountants.
Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Accounting or any related field.
• CA or equivalent professional qualification a must.
• Master’s degree qualification an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar role in cotton industry
