Finance Manager

Job Description

BDO Chartered Accountants is part of an international group of firms that operates in over 166 countries around the world. We are currently one of the biggest Audit & Accounting Firms in Zimbabwe. A vacancy has arisen in our Finance Department for a full time Finance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Presents and analyzes financial reports and makes recommendations to Partners on strategic and operational decisions.
- Manages budgets and ensures compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepares financial forecasts and monitors key performance indicators.
- Maintains the accounting system and ensures data integrity and security.
- Oversees all financial transactions, including billing, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Monitors cashflows and optimizes the use of financial resources.
- Creates monthly management accounts and provides accurate and timely financial information to Partners and stakeholders.
- Supervises junior staff and provides coaching and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- A professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA will be an added advantage
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance role
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software, such as Pastel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
