GOLDENKNOT FINANCIAL HOLDINGS seeks to recruit a self-motivated individual to join the Finance team. As a Graduate Trainee you will directly contribute to ensuring that claims are collected, processed accurately and reported on time, member accounts are up to date, and financial records meet the highest standards and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with the collection, verification, and daily processing of medical aid claims, supplier invoices, member contributions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
2. Prepare, analyse and produce claims reports for management, including claims trends, outstanding claims, and payment status reports to support decision-making.
3. Prepare and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
4. Support month-end closing processes, journals, accruals and bank reconciliations.
5. Assist in preparing management reports and financial statements.
6. Respond to member/patient queries related to accounts, billing and claims status in a professional and empathetic manner.
7. Help track inventory for pharmacy and medical consumables.
8. Prepare basic financial reports and assist with budget data collection.
9. Support internal audits and maintain proper filing of financial records.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Insurance, Health Economics, or equivalent.
2. Prior exposure or demonstrated capability in claims collection, claims processing, and claims reporting within a medical aid, insurance, or healthcare finance environment will be an added advantage.
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting; experience with QuickBooks or claims management systems is an added advantage.
5. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial and medical claims data.
6. Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
