The incumbent will be required to mange finances of the organisation from various donor partners and generating regular financial reports for the Board, Donor partners and prepare for annual institutional and project audits. Will supervise other officers in Finance department
Creation and implementation of an accounting and financial system.
Coordinate, produce, evaluate all the organisation’s budgets and track donor grant usage.
Gender sensitive approach to budgeting.
Preparation of monthly and annual income and expenditure statements and reports.
Prepare the organisation’s books for the annual audit including liasing with auditors on audit dates.
Manage the receipting, banking of all monies received in addition to supervising petty cash use.
Assist the Chief Executive Officer in the formulation of fund-raising strategies for the organisation.
Liaise with the Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer in all aspects of accounts maintenance and budget control by providing reports on financial status, procedures, exchange rate costs, expenditure patterns and potential funding problems.
Ensure submission of statutory requirements timely such as NSSA, PAYEE and NEC etc.
A degree in Accounting/or equivalent
Knowledge on pastel latest package
Experience of at least 3 years in local NGOs managing grants from donors of up to 500 000 annually
Clean class 4 driver's license
