FACULTY ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT- FACULTY OF LAW, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND ECONOMICS (1 POST)

Job Description

Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill the following post:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assisting the Faculty Dean in the management of the Faculty Office through information gathering, sorting and dissemination;
• Oversee running of the Faculty
• Attend to student queries, student admissions and registration
• Compiling and maintaining student records in the Faculty Office;
• Servicing the Faculty Board Meetings, Faculty Planning Committee Meetings, Faculty Board of Examiners Meetings and different University Committee meetings;
• Assisting in the selection, enrolment and registration of students in the faculty;
• Monitoring the operation and application of University General Academic Regulations at Faculty level, as well as the implementation of Faculty Special Academic Regulations;
• Coordinating and processing student results at Faculty Level
• Compiling comprehensive schedules of the examination results for students in the Faculty on a semester basis;
• Budgeting and controlling the expenditure of funds allocated to the Faculty;
• Applicant must demonstrate secretarial skills and data input skills.
• Supervising of Junior Staff in the Faculty
• Ensuring the smooth and adequate flow of information within the Faculty
• Any other duties assigned by the Dean

Qualifications and Experience

• The incumbent must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Marketing, Business/Finance or equivalent.
• A Master’s Degree in the relevant field is an added advantage.
• The candidate must have at least 3 (three) years working experience in an administrative role in a University.
• Applicants should possess excellent communication skills
• Computer literacy is a must, especially, working with databases
