Vacancy: Factoring Manager – Corporate Banking Division

Duties and Responsibilities
The Role: What We Expect From You
* Develop and implement strategies to drive Factoring and Receivables Finance strategy.
* Recommend and implement software for Factoring and Receivables products.
* Formulate and implement a comprehensive suite of Factoring, Receivables and other Fintech-driven products.
* Leverage emerging technologies to drive Factoring, Reverse Factoring and Receivables Finance products.
* Recommend policies and procedures to strengthen Factoring operations and stimulate sustainable growth of the product.
* Monitor adherence to Credit, Risk and Compliance frameworks and policies, including international benchmarks.
* Conduct regular portfolio reviews and monitor performance, delinquency trends and concentration risk.
* Prepare and present portfolio performance reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
* Serve as the Bank’s primary client interface for originating, acquiring and managing clients for Factoring and Receivables products and services.
* Drive sales utilization of Factoring products, including organizing sales initiatives for growth and product penetration in the market.
* Implement measures to maximize the financial performance of the Factoring book while safeguarding portfolio quality.
* Oversee the assessment of creditworthiness of suppliers and buyers/debtors.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including records of all discounting facility applications, approvals, disbursements, delinquencies and any other information with financial impact.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required
* Possess a degree in Banking & Finance, Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, Financial Engineering, Science, Technology or a similar qualification from a recognized and reputable tertiary institution.
* Possession of a professional qualification such as an IOBZ Diploma, certification in digital payment systems or platforms, or similar, is an added advantage.
* At least 7 years’ experience in Corporate Banking, preferably within Factoring, Receivables, Transactional Banking, Trade Finance and/or Investment Banking.
* Traceable and demonstrable experience in Factoring and Receivables Finance.
* Strong skills in business development, data-driven analysis and presentations.
* Proven financial analysis skills and competencies.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Solid working knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and protocols and their impacts on client businesses.
