Zimbabwe Alloys Chrome, a major producer of Ferro - chrome invites applications from
suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment to the following position:
ENGINEERING FOREMAN
The successful candidate will be based in Lalapanzi and responsible for the following: -
• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance, servicing, and repair of plant
machinery, heavy equipment, and mobile fleet
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of mechanics, technicians, and contractors.
• Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and regulatory
standards
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
• Provide technical guidance on equipment selection and modifications.
PERSON SPECIFICATION AND QUALIFICATION
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of plant and mobile fleet maintenance, preferably in a
mining or heavy manufacturing
• Proficiency in diagnosis, repairing hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Strong leadership, self-motivated, problem solving and communication skills.
• Class 4 Driver’s license.
