The Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH) invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals for the position of Diploma Lecturer – Applied Chemical Technology.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Teach Applied Chemical Technology at NC level in accordance with the HEXCO curriculum. • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
• Deliver lectures, tutorials and laboratory practical sessions.
• Assess students and supervise projects and industrial attachment reports.
• Maintain academic records and ensure the safe management of laboratory equipment.
• Enforce laboratory health, safety, environmental and quality assurance standards. • Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance and departmental activities.
• Mentor and support students academically.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's in Applied Chemical Technology, Chemical Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• A Master's Degree and a recognised teaching qualification will be added advantages.
• Tertiary teaching experience, particularly in HEXCO programmes, is preferred.
• Industrial experience in chemical manufacturing, laboratory operations or quality control is an added advantage.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in e-learning platforms. General Requirements

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and e-learning platforms.
