DESIGNATED AGENT
JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate will be based outside Harare and will be responsible for providing oversight and leadership of the area office. This includes supervising staff at the office and inspecting all construction companies in the region, ensuring adherence of employers and employees in the construction industry to the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreements, thereby complying with the Labour Act.
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Unpacking the industry's Collective Bargaining Agreements and the Labour Act to employers and employees.
• Conducting routine site inspections to ensure compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreements, the Labour Act and safety standards.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the area office.
• Foster and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Grievance handling.
• Dispute resolution through conciliation/arbitration.
• Provision of on-the-spot advice to management and workers during inspections
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
• A Degree in Human Resource Management or any Social Science Degree plus a professional qualification in Human Resources Management.
• Knowledgeable in resolving labour disputes.
• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• Highly computer literate in various programmes.
• A valid and clean Class 4 driver's licence is a must.
