Job Description

To support the organization through data driven insights in all organizational functional areas to aid in business decision making process and success using advanced data mining, processing and analysis techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leading data driven projects that supports business growth in all functional business areas.
• Managing data projects end to end, including opportunity identification, data gathering, data cleansing, data analysis and clear articulation of insights using compelling visual and written reports.
• Developing machine learning models to support business decisions that optimizes return on investment.
• Analyzing data trends and results as well as translating into business impact for stakeholders.
• Collaborating with cross functional teams to create data driven decisions.
• Exploring large and complex data sets to uncover new opportunities, identify root causes and recommend solutions.
• Creating dashboards for data visualization, monitoring and reporting including automated reports for continuous insights using relevant tools
• Perform ad-hoc data extraction and manipulation to produce analysis and present insights to stakeholders.
• Manage the end-to-end development, implementation, and production of a range of statistical and predictive models.
• Assessing the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in a Quantitative discipline - Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science or related.
• A minimum of 3 years of work related experience in developing and evaluating model suitability and to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets, including databases and other data structures.
• Proficiency in using a range of programming languages (Python, R, SQL) and other complimentary technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Well-developed contemporary IT skills (Microsoft Windows, Office, OneDrive, Teams, etc.)
