Job Description

JOB TITLE: DATA CAPTURE CLERK
LOCATION: MUDZI
JOB PURPOSE
The data capture clerk will support the Accountability, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer with database management. Specific responsibilities include all aspects of data entry and quality assurance to facilitate accurate record keeping and subsequent analysis. The role contributes toward the relevance, effectiveness and efficiency of World Vision programming.

Duties and Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Captures data from monitoring forms to project database
Updates the project database constantly by conducting data cleaning and participant information updating in consultation with the A, M & E officer
Maintains a 'data' log of what data has been received, cleaned and entered, and discuss any unclear data prior to entry;
Liaises with project staff to collect and consolidate relevant data and information and follow-up on any missing data either directly or raising this to the supervisor for follow-up
Checks on data completeness on all project source documents in consultation with the A, M & E officer
Identifies and report data discrepancies and gaps in a timely manner
Conducts both electronic and paper-based filing of project source documents
Maintains an updated a central data filing room
Compiles weekly database summaries and submit to the project management

Qualifications and Experience

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
Minimum of a Diploma Social Sciences, Statistics, Project planning or Monitoring and Evaluation
At least 2 years data capturing experience, preferably in the NGO sector
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook).
Familiarity with data entry software and database management systems.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage time efficiently to handle multiple tasks.
Understanding and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information
