Mashambanzou Care Trust (MCT) is implementing the “Putting Children First Project”, which seeks to contribute to the creation of an environment where children, youths and women are protected from violence and abuse for enhanced physical and mental wellbeing. The project will be anchored in the communities through community champions and community mentors. MCT uses a gender lens in its programming focus to ensure that deliberate measures are considered to ensure that identified obstacles that prevent women participation in development process/programmes are addressed. The rationale behind the Gender Analysis training which will be implemented by MCT, is to provide valuable insights into gender disparities, identify gender-specific needs as well as concerns and inform the development or adaptation of strategies and interventions to promote gender equality and social inclusion. This will be done through training Community Champions and Gatekeepers on gender analysis.
