Working closely with teachers to produce lesson plans that complement the national curriculum
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain relationships with projects involved within the community
Lead Eco tourists in understanding & achieving the aims & objectives of each community project
Participate in activities on project to achieve these aims
Deal with problems on the ground (logistical/emotional)
Plan weekly schedule & lessons for each project
Ensure all learning materials & activities needed for project are organised for easy accessibility
Communicate with each project to inform them of eco-tourist involvement & dates
Ensure projects are benefitting from our involvement & keep a tab of how
Identifying possibilities of expansion & key areas of need in the community
Report to project manager on a daily basis regarding how the day went
Conduct weekly feedback sessions with Eco tourists to handle queries, questions & new ideas
Write up daily reports on lesson objectives, execution, results & hours spent on project
Assist with initiatives to help community members become self-sustainable (starting income generating projects)
Conduct family tracing exercises to assist with reuniting broken family units
Offer psychosocial support to members of the community
Inductions, presentations & guest tours
General cleaning of community office
Qualifications and Experience
3rd Year university student studying towards:
1. Social Work
2. Development Studies
3. Sociology
A clean class 4 drivers license would be an added advantage
