Position Overview: We seek a talented and enthusiastic Communications Graduate Intern with skills in graphics design, video editing, and writing. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment while contributing to meaningful projects that make a difference in the lives of young people.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Graphics Design: Create visually appealing graphics for various platforms including social media, websites, newsletters, and promotional materials.
 Video Editing: Produce, edit, and finalize video content for campaigns, impact stories and project activities.
 Content Writing: Develop engaging and informative content for Young Africa Zimbabwe social media platforms, blog posts, newsletters, and press releases.
 Develop content and designs for various YA Zimbabwe information, education, and communication materials
 Liaise with the Young Africa International communications team to document the impact of YA Zimbabwe’s programs through videos and most significant change stories.
 Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and create innovative content ideas.
 Support the maintenance of the organization’s social media presence and online engagement.
 Participate in team meetings, providing creative input and feedback on projects.

Qualifications and Experience

 Recent graduate with a degree/diploma in Communications, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Film Production, Journalism, or a related field.
 Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
 Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
 Strong writing skills with the ability to create compelling and clear content.
 Candidates who specialise in graphic designing and video editing are strongly encouraged to apply.
 Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
 Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
 Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
