Job Description

A private college in Harare is seeking the services of a qualified and experienced Principal.

Duties and Responsibilities

Administer public examinations.
Establishing curriculum guidelines , setting learning goals and benchmarks for teachers and students.
Evaluating teachers, ensuring standardised curriculum guidelines are enforced and identifying weak areas for teacher and student improvement.
Disciplining students based on school policy
Overseeing budgeting and college logistics operations
Taking part in the hiring and training of teachers and secondary staff members
Providing guidance and counselling services to teachers and students on their academic and offering assistance with behavioural modification programs.
Arrange and oversee parent-teacher meetings.
Prepare the teachers, students, and other staff members for inspections conducted by regulatory authorities
Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Stay current with education developments
Handling emergencies, college crises, organising sports activities and events

Qualifications and Experience

- At least 5 years managerial/supervisory experience in the education sector
- Relevant qualificaton. Masters Preferred
- Traceable achievements
- Age 40 years and above
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Critical thinker
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages and skill levels
