About the role

The role works within the International Department Programmes family and the wider programme funding and development remit. The role sits within the Christian Aid Zimbabwe country programme. The key function of the role is to support Climate Adaptation, Resilience and Humanitarian projects in the Zimbabwe country programme and ensure quality projects implementation while building and maintaining sound relationships with key stakeholders. The post-holder oversees work with partner organisations to ensure the Climate Adaptation and Resilience initiatives and emergency action are coordinated effectively in line with CA Zimbabwe country priorities and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key delivery areas for this role include programme support including quality oversight for climate adaptation and humanitarian preparedness and response interventions. The role must also deliver on reporting, project evaluation and enhancing internal and external learning, representation and connecting teams. The role additionally supports overall country programme development, fundraising initiatives and providing advice and sharing information on climate adaptation across the Country programme. The role will also engage with and promote communications, fundraising from institutional donors and representing Christian Aid in relevant forums.

Qualifications and Experience

About you

You have experience in Project and Programme management, partnership approach (working with partners), Monitoring, Evaluation and Leaning. You have over 2 years working with a Development Agency, reporting, proposal development and strategy management.

Your expertise in programme management includes Climate Adaptation, Resilience, Emergency/Humanitarian in Zimbabwe and other developing contexts. You are competent in the use of various data collection, monitoring, evaluation and learning tools and analysis methodologies. You can conduct partner assessments, capacity building and developing partnerships. You have a sound knowledge of gender, inclusion and the resilience approach to humanitarian relief and recovery, Core Humanitarian Standards safeguarding & accountability, advocacy, lobbying and being able to build networks.

You have excellent writing skills, a University Degree in Agriculture (Agriculture Production, Agriculture Economics, Agribusiness ) or a related field.
