Zimbabwe National Boxing and Wrestling Control Board (ZNBWCB) is a State-Owned Enterprise born out of the Boxing and Wrestling Control Act (Chapter 25:02) with a mandate to oversee the development of boxing, wrestling and related sport activities in Zimbabwe.
The Board seeks to recruit a commercially driven professional, reporting to the General Secretary / CEO to lead the Board’s business development, marketing, visibility, sponsorship and strategic partnerships agenda. The role is central to positioning combat sports as a strong, visible and commercially valuable platform while building sustainable revenue streams for athlete development and the growth of the sport.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement an integrated business development, marketing and commercialization strategy.
• Identify, secure and manage corporate sponsorships, strategic partnerships and investment opportunities.
• Develop compelling sponsorship packages and commercial propositions around athletes, events, facilities, media and other sporting properties.
• Lead the Board’s brand visibility, communications and marketing initiatives to grow the profile and commercial appeal of combat sports.
• Identify and develop new revenue streams through events, broadcasting, digital platforms, licensing, branding, merchandising and other commercial opportunities.
• Build high-value relationships with corporates, investors, media, promoters and development partners.
• Track commercial performance, sponsorship pipelines, brand visibility and measurable returns on investment.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Sports Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in business development, marketing, sponsorship, commercial partnerships, sales or sports marketing.

Proven success in securing sponsorships, building partnerships and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue is essential.
•
Sport, media, entertainment or events experience is an advantage.
