An automotive welder responsible for structural repairs in various automotive vehicles, trailers, design metal components and structures to help improve the previous design and functionality of parts, and perform routine maintenance on all equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Designing, cutting and joining metal parts together through the application of appropriate welding techniques
• Performing structural repairs on vehicles
• Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws
• Ensuring the fabrication of metal components
• Interpreting blueprints and sketches
• Completing job reports
Qualifications and Experience
Trade tested Class one Welder
• An additional technical qualification is an added advantage
• At least 2 years' experience as a Welder
• Extensive knowledge of modern welding techniques, a good eye for detail, and an ability solve complex problems
