- Highlight Relevant Education: Your degree in Computer Science or Information Systems is crucial - be sure to make it prominent in your CV.
- Essential Experience: Although the job listing specifies at least one year of experience, going beyond this could give you an advantage. Display your experience prominently in your application.
- Showcase Additional Qualifications: If you hold additional ICT qualifications, do not hesitate to bring them to the fore. These can give you an edge in the job search in Zimbabwe.
- Follow the Application Instructions: Often underestimated, following the set application route (email in this case) is very important. Send your CV, certificates, and references to the email provided.

- Problem-Solving Experience: If you have examples of solving real-life ICT problems within the areas listed, this can make you stand out in recruitment agencies in Zimbabwe.
- Tailored Cover Letter: In the flooded Zimbabwean jobs market, a personalized cover letter that matches the job duties and responsibilities can set you apart.

Important Aspects Novices Overlook
- Security Emphasis: Novice applicants often overlook the weight of security matters in ICT job offers in Zimbabwe. Its prominence in the duties section underlines its importance.
- Disaster Recovery System: Many applicants tend to give less importance to this aspect. Be different by highlighting your competencies here.
- Enforcing Company's ICT Policy: This area requires an understanding of company policies, another aspect that novice applicants often skim over in ngo jobs in Zimbabwe. Understanding and adherence to policies is critical in such a role.
In conclusion, securing ICT vacancies in both ngo and corporate spheres in Zimbabwe involves keen understanding of the job requirements and skillfully showcasing your abilities that meet these requirements. And always remember, each application is unique. Tailor your approach to each role and company.
