The Assistant Data Officer will be responsible for and maintaining data processing systems and infrastructure, provide on the support information systems support to Nurses, Outreach Microplanners, DREAMS, mental health and PACE Research activities on intervention sites.
• Facilitate seamless data collection by providing technical support to users, ensuring efficient use of the data collection system.
• Implement customizations and modifications to electronic data collection tools as specified by the system specialist to meet project needs.
• Assist in the testing and deployment of new data collection tools or software developed by the system development team.
• Address and resolve ICT-related issues encountered by users to maintain continuity in data collection processes.
• Oversee real-time data collection by nurses at sites, addressing any outstanding forms through data reconciliation, data cleaning, and, when necessary, data entry.
• Work closely with the Information Systems Specialist, Software Engineers, Data Systems Engineers, and Consultants in testing, rollout, and implementation of new KP systems and AI Toolkits.
• Train and support users on new systems and AI Toolkits, ensuring smooth adoption and effective use of these tools.
• Provide technical assistance to promote the use of real-time data visualizations and dashboards, supporting evidence-based decision-making processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems/Computer Science/Statistics, Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, Knowledge of Software package like DHIS2, REDCAP, ODK and COMMCARE, Proficient level knowledge of software development technologies (development tools, programming languages, decision-support systems, web, etc.) and database management systems, Strong knowledge of data processes, information systems, Excellent research skills and the ability to interpret analytical data to assess and improve information systems, The ability to manage multiple projects under minimal supervision with excellent attention to detail.
Expert in generating complex and meaningful reports from multiple data sources, presenting data using visualization tools, Data Cleaning and triangulation.
